Chairperson's Message

The 12th International Conference on Concentrator Photovoltaic Systems, held in April 2016 in Freiburg, Germany, gathered scientists, engineers and policy makers to discuss the progress in the technology, market and financing aspects of CPV.  A record value for module efficiencies higher than 43% was presented. Field experiences showed that the technology is highly reliable and excellent performances have been reported. 

I am honoured to have been chosen as chair of CPV-13, which will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from May 1 to 3, 2017.

New Student Prizes at CPV-13

The 13th International Conference on Concentrator Photovoltaics (CPV-13) is the premier technical conference in the areas of high- and low-concentration PV components, modules, and tracker-based PV systems. The conference brings together students, academics, technologists, and financiers to engage in discussion of state-of-the-art CPV components, trackers, and installations.

Full Paper Upload

All authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit their full paper (PDF and DOC file / 4-6 pages) for the AIP proceedings. Full Paper Template >>

AIP License Transfer Agreement

For all full papers, a signed AIP licence agreement has to be submitted by mail to or on-site during the conference.

Please check with your company/institute as soon as possible whether you are allowed to sign the licence agreement!

And make sure:

  • Title needs to be exactly the same as in paper PDF
  • All authors and co-authors have to be listed
  • Order of authors: same order as in paper PDF
  • Add the editors: Gerald Siefer, Karin Hinzer, Ignacio Rey-Stolle
  • Add the conference title: CPV-13
